Steel Fighters beginner guide

Every step below comes from the official game listing or dated gameplay recordings. Where a mechanic could not be verified, it is marked UNKNOWN instead of guessed.

The loop in one paragraph

Build a robot from parts → fight through endless floors and bosses → collect junk in the Junkyard and deliver it home → pull the lever for parts and luck → upgrade your robots → rebirth to unlock stronger Cash buffs → repeat deeper into the floors.

Step 1 — Build your first robot (verified from footage)

  1. Open the Craft Station and choose Build Robot.
  2. Pick one part for each of the six slots from My Parts: Head, Torso, Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, Right Leg. The panel tracks 0/6 before selection.
  3. Press BUILD ROBOT at the bottom. The assembled robot appears on the station platform.

Part prices are per-part and levelled. One recorded example: a Right Arm Bolt Lv1 cost 208 Cash while the player held 588 Cash. That is a dated example, not a price table — see the Parts library for observed records.

Step 2 — Fight floors (partially verified)

Recorded floor fights show a RETREAT control during battle, and a Recovering state with TELEPORT and RETREAT controls where the player rests until HP recovers. Recovery duration — UNKNOWN. Milestones at floors 100 / 125 Space / 200 / 300 are verified title targets — see Floors and Space. Boss details — UNKNOWN.

Step 3 — Economy: junk, lever, dice

Step 4 — Upgrade, fuse, rebirth

Verified targets: 500 robot upgrades (Engineer, +18% Arena Damage), 30 fusions (Fusion Master, +18% Arena Damage), 3 rebirths (Reborn, +22% Cash) and 7 rebirths (Phoenix, +32% Cash). Rebirth reset details — UNKNOWN, see the Rebirth page.

Social bonuses (advertised — receipt unverified)

The official listing advertises: play with friends for +50% Cash, like + join the group for a FREE ROBOT, and favorite for FREE robot parts. Source footage shows the Join Community menu but does not demonstrate successful reward receipt. Claim completion is unverified.
